The main theme of VIII Congress of ARIC is "Intercultural Research and Practices? New Fields, New Complexities?". Participants will examine and debate questions inherent to the intercultural nature of relations between the different societies that make up today's world.

The Congress will include four major aspects:

• Multi-disciplinary integration
• Dialogue between francophone researchers and practical workers
• Collaboration between North, South, Central and Eastern Europe
• Debate at the Swiss national level
• Exchange of views at a local and international level
